Follow My Book Blog Friday and Book Blogger Hop (3)

This is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee.  Click the link to add your name to the linky list and follow, follow, follow!  This week's FF question is:

What is your favorite romance hero-type? Stereotype wise. Do you like the strong silent type or the brute macho man? From Ruby's Reads

My favorite romance hero is the normal kind.  I like the kind of guy that has flaws.  He may be quiet, or he may be belligerent. He may start out as a womanizer, or he may be a recluse.  I had rather see a man with real flaws, that ends up redeeming himself, but still remains real.  If the hero is too much of a hero, or too gallant, or too perfect, I probably won't enjoy his character as much as I would were he "regular".

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word!  This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!  It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!  So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list below!!

The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don't have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun!  This is a weekly event!  And stop back throughout the weekend to see all the new blogs that are added!  We get over 200 links every week!!

"Tell us about one of your posts from this week and give us a link so we can read it (review or otherwise)!"

The Super Bowl was last Sunday!  Did you know that?  I found out a few weeks ago that there are seeeveral Book Bloggers that don't follow sports.  As much as I LOVE football (really, I do), I was not interested in either of the teams that played on Sunday night.  I was, however, interested in the commercials!  I compiled a list of my five favorites and posted them on my blog.  Even if you don't like sports, you can still enjoy and appreciate the work of ad reps who spent 1.5 mil for a 30 second spot on the first Sunday night in February.  Here it is:  Super Bowl Commercials and Reviews

  2. Hopping by to return the visit and follow! Love the "normal guy" answer. If a character is too super, they no longer seem human and I can't like them or sympathize with them as well.

  4. That's an interesting take on heroes. I don't mind if heroes have flaws, but since I read to escape and experience a fantasy world, I don't mind if my hero is perfect either. :)
